Why Carl is running
The Democratic incumbent was set to run without opposition. County Republicans asked Carl to join the race and fill the open Republican spot on the ballot. His budget and leadership background fit the commissioner's job: setting county budgets, overseeing departments, and representing District 2.
Carl believes District 2 voters deserve a real choice and a commissioner who will listen, watch spending, and put the county first.
